LAURA GAINEY MD,PhD
Dr. Laura Gainey was born and raised in Wynnewood, OK and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she obtained her BS in 2007. She then went on to Boston, MA where she attended Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2017. Her path next led to Long Island, New York where she completed residency training at Northwell/Hofstra University School of Medicine program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Gainey is passionate about creating a safe space for patients of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. Using a compassionate, evidence-based approach, she is as dedicated to supporting the empowerment and autonomy of her patients as she is to improving their health and well-being. She knows that some of life’s most special moments occur in the presence of a doctor and she strives to be worthy of that privilege.
As the newest member of Northwest OBGYN, Dr. Gainey is excited to be working with such excellent physicians. She looks forward to building lifelong relationships with her patients as they traverse the many stages of life. She, her husband, and their new baby girl are grateful to be back home in the Sooner State and for the opportunity to serve its people.
